Eric Clapton Takes Potshot at Outgoing Boris Johnson with New Song, ’Pay No Attention to the Pompous Fool’

Recently, liberals turned on legendary musician Eric Clapton. After he claimed he had gotten adverse effects from a Covid-19 vaccine, Clapton said he wouldn’t play shows that required vaccine “passports” anymore.

Although Clapton wasn’t exactly “right-wing” before that, many on the right were surprised and supported his “pro-freedom” move. Now, Clapton has a new song bashing outgoing UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who recently resigned in shame.

Johnson says he is waiting to officially step down until there is a replacement for him, however. Clapton was critical of Johnson’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic. After Clapton’s previous about-face, liberals tried to “cancel” him for alleged racist comments from decades ago.

It doesn’t seem Clapton is all too worried about being canceled, however, as his newest song continues on with the sentiment about vaccines. American Songwriter reported in part:

Clapton, who has been outspokenly anti-Covid vaccine and against the lockdown throughout the pandemic, and said he suffered “severe reactions” from the AstraZeneca vaccine, released “This Has Gotta Stop,” addressing the new rules around live performance in lyrics This has gotta stop / Enough is enough / I can’t take this BS any longer / It’s gone far enough.”

Currently on the North American leg of his 2022 tour, the guitar legend recently tested positive shortly after his second concert at Royal Albert Hall in London, according to an official statement on Clapton’s Facebook page, and had to reschedule several dates of his European tour.

You can see his new song below, directed at Johnson:

As we previously reported, liberals were furious when Clapton broke the cultural rules and starting speaking his mind:

Other rock legends have spoken out against cultural “rules” recently too, and the lead singer of the Sex Pistols thinks that many have forgotten what it means to be “punk rock”.

With as much stress and pressure as “BoJo” is under now, it’s unlikely he cares or will respond to Clapton as he is on the way out. Of course, anything can happen, however, and we’ll monitor the ongoing saga for possible updates. Many right-wing folks in the UK and even the United States thought “BoJo” was another Donald Trump. However, as time went on he shifted more and more into the “global” narrative and many were displeased with that. It’s unclear what type of leader they will find next.
