Liberals Furious: Eric Clapton Will Cancel Any Shows that Require Proof of Vaccination After Claiming to Have Had Adverse Reaction

Legendary guitarist Eric Clapton says he will cancel shows if the venue requires attendees to prove they are vaccinated for COVID-19. This comes after UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that proof of vaccination would be required at nightclubs.

Clapton responded to the announcement with one of his own. “Following the PM’s announcement on Monday the 19th of July 2021, I feel honor bound to make an announcement of my own: I wish to say that I will not perform on any stage where there is a discriminated audience present. Unless there is provision made for all people to attend, I reserve the right to cancel the show.” The statement made by Clapton was posted to Robin Monotti Graziadei’s Telegram account.

Robin Monotti Graziadei is an Italian artcitect, film producer and anti-vaxxer.

Clapton has shared his experience with receiving the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine which he called “disastrous”. In a letter he wrote:

“I took the first jab of AZ and straight away had severe reactions which lasted ten days. I recovered eventually and was told it would be twelve weeks before the second one…”

“About six weeks later I was offered and took the second AZ shot, but with a little more knowledge of the dangers. Needless to say the reactions were disastrous, my hands and feet were either frozen, numb or burning, and pretty much useless for two weeks, I feared I would never play again, (I suffer with peripheral neuropathy and should never have gone near the needle.) But the propaganda said the vaccine was safe for everyone…”

Clapton has also been very critical of the lockdowns, in December 2020 he and Van Morrison, who is anti-vaccine himself, performed “Stand and Deliver” together. The song features lyrics including, “Do you wanna be a free man / Or do you wanna be a slave?” and “Dick Turpin wore a mask too.”

On Twitter, many are unleashing their thoughts on Clapton’s statement.

George Takei tweeted in response to Clapton’s statement, “If you attend an Eric Clapton rally, you are playing Covid roulette. Just saying.”

Senior Tech Analyst at Mashable Christina Warren tweeted, “Eric Clapton just really wants his audience of boomers to die doesn’t he?”

Australian Political Activist Celeste responded with, “Eric Clapton won’t perform shows where proof of vax is needed. Which is convenient because I won’t go to any Clapton shows whilst he is a Countryside Alliance supporting, Enoch Powell loving, fox-hunting tool who said this onstage in ’76:”

Clapton’s unconventional stance has clearly rubbed liberals the wrong way and they are coming out in droves to attack Clapton for his personal stance.
