We previously reported that President Joe Biden took a socially distanced picture with other leaders at the G7 summit in the United Kingdom, despite a video that showed the leaders interacting closely and without masks.
Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron appear to be developing what one report described as a “budding bromance” at the summit and a tweet by Macron appeared to confirm that, while also taking an indirect shot at former President Trump.
Macron shared a video of the two conversing in close proximity yet again and declared, “Now that we are together, united, determined to make a difference, it’s time to deliver. I’m sure we will, @JoeBiden!”

Biden tweeted out a picture of the two yesterday engaged in a close conversation and announced that, “President Macron and I stand together, ready to take on the toughest challenges we face.”

When asked if he thinks America is “back,” Macron responded, “Definitely” and in another apparent shot at Trump, he added, “I think it’s great to have a U.S. president part of the club and very willing to cooperate and I think what you demonstrate is that leadership is partnership.”
Biden reportedly also said that him and Macron are on the “same page,” calling the European Union “incredibly strong and vibrant.”
The two did not elaborate, however, beyond that, which is typical for Biden, who rarely answers substantive questions.
Macron also animatedly embraced Biden during the initial G-7 session yesterday, prior to today’s one-on-one session, with multiple pool reporters capturing their hands-on interactions.
