Today on the U.S. House floor, members of Congress spoke about a “police reform” bill, H.R. 1280, which is the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act.
On Monday, U.S. House Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene urged supporters to call their Congressman to oppose what she called “the BLM / ANTIFA Defund the Police Bill.”
That description rung true today when BLM supporting U.S. House Rep Cori Bush (D-MO) spoke about the bill and hinted that law enforcement should be abolished.
In a clip shared in a tweet by Greene, Bush, who was wearing her Breonna Taylor mask, began, “First of all, we shouldn’t be talking about good police and bad police, there should just be police that are doing their job, to serve and protect the people.”
“So let’s make that clear, there’s no such thing as good police, there’s no good nurse, when you go get food, you don’t go look for the [this place has a good chef, this place has a bad chef] I’m going to go where the bad chef is,” Bush continued.
Bush concluded, “We don’t need this good police, bad police, we need police, if we’re going to have police, but I’ll move on.”
In her tweet, Greene decried the speech by Bush. “This is what happens when radical #BLM@CoriBush goes to Congress. Not only do they want to #DefundThePolice, they state ‘if we are going to have police at all.’ STOP H.R. 1280,” she said.

U.S. House Rep Bob Good (R-VA) was one who spoke out on the bill today on the house floor, tweeting a clip of his speech. He said, “Democrats don’t want police reform – they want to defund the police. I oppose this far-left, anti-police bill. #BackTheBlue“
