Ice Cube posted a tweet with the caption “A wolf in wolves clothing. The demons are among us. #Fightthecowards” which can be seen below. It shows a picture of former Minnesota Cop that was fired after the death of George Floyd and a picture of a professional Troll Jonathan Lee Riches wearing ha hat that says “Make Whites Great Again”. The inference is that the former cop was the one wearing the hat in the second photograph. However, this had been made abundantly clear that this is incorrect by many on Twitter.

Jesse Lee Peterson, Talk Show Host, Pastor and President of BOND, called out Ice Cube on twitter the day before for his tweet that asked the question “How long will we go for Blue on Black Crime before we strike back???”. Peterson’s tweet said “I’m sure you’re gonna be on the frontlines Doughboy – Not! Why don’t you be responsible and call for an investigation instead of inciting anger and hatred? How is this gonna help black people?? You know you’re not leaving your oceanfront property.”

Ice Cube certainly didn’t calm the public with his tweets. The second tweet, the one from today, was an all-out lie. Media analyst Mark Dice calls out Twitter in a reply to the fake news tweet of Ice Cube. Dice states “Maybe twitter should be adding fact check notices to your tweets instead of the Presidents.” Twitter recently fact-checked one of the President’s tweets. Dice sarcastically congratulates Ice Cube on “pouring gasoline on the fire, moron.”
That’s NOT the cop, dumbass. It’s professional troll and fraudster Jonathan Lee Riches. Maybe twitter should be adding fact check notices to your tweets instead of the Presidents. But congratulations on pouring gasoline on the fire, moron.

The NAACP President shared the image of the professional troll and former Minnesota cop on his Twitter feed. He doubled down against anyone who tried to correct his error instead, holding firmly on to the message that the cop was a Racist.
Here is Derek Chauvin, the racist cop who kept his knee on #GeorgeFloyd’s neck, cut off his air passage and murdered him, wearing a “Make Whites Great Again” hat, a clear sign that this piece of excrement should’ve been taken off the streets a long time ago.#JusticeForFloyd pic.twitter.com/KxGxHAIzlH

You’re calling on @Twitter to fact check verified users who spread disinformation, when you trumptrash bigots eat up all of the lies, innuendo, conspiracy theories, and disinformation that he rage tweets incessantly on a daily basis?

You can’t be serious. https://t.co/jOziftHCvD
Some are calling on @TwitterSupport to have the photograph removed because the man in the second photo is not Derek Chauvin.
Hey @TwitterSupport since you’re in the business of fact checking why don’t you have your verified accounts remove a photo that IS NOT Derek Chauvin? pic.twitter.com/VHzXIq0HfU

Jesse Lee Peterson infers that behavior such as this from leaders of the African American community only exasperates a horrible situation. The protesting and rioting in Minneapolis is “real ugly” according to one participant. The police officers involved in the incident have all been fired. Thousands of people have congregated in the city. We will see what comes next in this ongoing news cycle related to this tragic event.
