House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) officially announced today that she will seek re-election in 2022.
In 2018, Pelosi agreed to a deal limiting her Speakership to only four years, so whether Democrats retain or not, she is not likely to be in that seat.
In a tweet sharing her re-election campaign video, Pelosi said, “While we have made progress much more needs to be done to improve people’s lives.”
“This election is crucial: nothing less is at stake than our Democracy. But we don’t agonize-we organize,” Pelosi insisted.
Pelosi explained, “I am running for re-election to Congress to deliver For The People and defend Democracy.”

Pelosi got some bad news earlier as longtime Congressman Jim Cooper (D-TN) announced today that he will not seek re-election in 2022.
In an effort to stem the tide today against Democrats, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) tweeted out today, “With the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Democrats have delivered #ForThePeople!”
“These investments will create millions of good-paying, union jobs in communities across the country over the next decade rebuilding America’s infrastructure,” Pelosi asserted.
