Pro-Trump Fundraising Juggernaut George Buck Raises $400K to Take on Former Republican Turncoat Charlie Crist

George Buck (R) is running for the Republican party nomination against the former Republican Governor of Florida, Charlie Crist (D). The race is to represent Florida’s 13th Congressional District.

According to FEC filings, in the fourth quarter of 2019, the committee to elect George Buck, Ph.D. out raised all of the other Republicans running for the nomination. In total Buck raised $220,667.38 in the fourth quarter and over $400,000 in 2019. Although Buck did not outraise the fundraising juggernaut incumbent Charlie Crist, he held his own. George Buck raised $220k in Q4 culminating to $400k in 2019 overall raised. With over 6,000 small-dollar donors, George Buck is now postured to fund the small-dollar juggernaut that will beat Charlie Crist. After the FEC Report was filed, another $75k in donations poured into George Buck’s campaign, bringing our fundraising total to $475k to date.

“None of the donations were from swamp PACs or lobbyists, they came from average every day Americans and Floridians who want to take this country back,” Buck said. “I am proud of that and I won’t let my donors and voters down. We are almost at half a million raised and this is the kind of fundraising prowess needed to defeat Turncoat Charlie Crist. Charlie has done nothing while in Congress other than vote to impeach President Trump during the sham witch hunt. I can do better.”

George Buck is a retired firefighter, army veteran (Airborne), emergency response expert, and president of the 101st Airborne Association (FL). George has lived in St. Petersburg, Florida for over 25 years. George has raised nearly half a million dollars and is currently polling number 1 in the Republican primary against Charlie Crist.

Buck has served his community since the age of 14, starting as a junior firefighter. He then joined the US Army and served as a crash rescue firefighter. After he was honorably discharged, he joined the U.S. Airforce reserves where he again served as a firefighter, this time for three years. Buck also enlisted in the Florida National Guard, where he cross-trained as an operational intelligence analyst during the Persian Gulf war.

George then went on to earn his Ph.D. in philosophy and public administration. Buck opened the National Terrorism Preparedness Institute in St Petersburg FL, the nation’s first training center to prepare first responders for terrorist attacks.

As an assistant professor at the University of South Florida College of Public Health, he wrote and implemented a master’s certificate program in Emergency Management. He also taught on the Ideology of National and International Terrorism. Buck is the co-founder of The Center for Biological Terrorism Defense as well.

After his career in academics, George became a consultant in emergency terrorism management and has authored six books on the subject. George has worked with different levels of government including the U.S. military, DoD and Florida’s National Guard.

George has managed response to Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Frances as well as different domestic and international terrorist attacks. Buck would like to construe the message to his constituents that he wants to keep our communities safe.

The other candidates in the primary include Amanda Makki, Anna Luna, Sharon Newby, Matt Becker, and Shelia Griffin. According to Ballotpedia Makki is an Iranian-American, who has lobbied for both tobacco and pharma, she also worked for Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) for seven years. Florida’s 13th district will hold its primary on August 18th, we will see which of the candidates will face off with former Governor Charlie Crist.
