U.S. Rep. Dan Meuser Joins with McCarthy to Censure Adam Schiff: Says His Actions are ‘Beneath The Office’

This morning, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R) signed a resolution to censure U.S. Rep. and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D). Schiff, who has been at the forefront of the impeachment screams from the left against President Trump, is likely to face more backlash and momentum seems to be gaining steam.

Even Democrats who want to further their progressive agenda likely see Schiff’s actions as comical and a hindrance to their cause. Congressman Dan Meuser (R) representing the 9th District in Pennsylvania retweeted an earlier tweet by Kevin McCarthy saying:

“I too have signed onto the resolution to censure Chairman Adam Schiff. Presenting false versions of phone calls in a political attempt to damage @realDonaldTrump is unacceptable and beneath the office to which Schiff was elected.”

Another recent Tweet by Meuser shows his support for the President. He captioned an article that he tweeted out by calling the Trump impeachment push a farce.

“ICYMI: This farce, which chooses to push a presumption of guilt where evidence is nonexistent, is nothing short of a Constitutional embarrassment for our country.”

Impeachment weary Trump supporters and Republicans will be encouraged at these moves as it has been hard to find evidence of action by way of defending the multitude of unmerited attacks from the left against President Trump since he was put into office. There is also an investigation underway under the leadership of Attorney General William Barr by John Durham to find out if there was any funny business in the costly Mueller investigation that lead to no Trump-Russia collusion evidence.
