Kyle Rittenhouse was set free today after being found not guilty on all counts of a shooting in Kenosha that he claimed was self-defense. During Trump’s presidency, former President Donald Trump appeared to say that he felt Rittenhouse was acting in self-defense, even though the media tried to demonize Trump for that support.
Now that Kyle is innocent, Donald Trump was proven right. Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers reminded Twitter of Trump’s statement by posting the flashback video clip.
Reporter: Do you condemn the actions of vigilantes like Kyle Rittenhouse?
Trump: We’re looking at all of it. That was an interesting situation. You saw the same tape as I saw. He was trying to get away from them I guess, looks like. And he fell, and then they very violently attacked him. It was something that we’re looking at right now and it’s under investigation but uh, I guess he was in very big trouble, he would have been, he probably would have been killed but it’s under investigation.
