On Thursday, during a newscast on Fox 10 Phoenix, an image was shared on the bottom left part of the screen. The image showed erroneous results for the Arizona governor race between Katie Hobbs (D) and Kari Lake (R). The image on the screen showed Katie Hobbs as the winner of the November election, 12 days before the election has even taken place.
Kari Lake shared a picture of a TV screen that shows Kari Lake at 47% and Katie Hobbs at 53%, with a red check mark next to her name indicating she won. The image also shows a vote count above both Hobbs and Lake’s pictures.

Lake worked for Fox 10 Phoenix for 22 years before leaving the mainstream media for good, and shortly thereafter announcing she would be running for governor of Arizona.
The station addressed the error on its Twitter feed.
They explain that the image was provided to them by the Associated Press and that it was never meant to go on air. The station then tries to reassure its viewers that it won’t and cannot happen again.
“At 5:50p during the Fox 10 newscast today a small graphic appeared on the lower left side of the screen showing test results for the upcoming election. These were generated by the Associated Press which distributes results to clients. This graphic was never meant to go on air — the numbers were only part of a test. The station has taken steps to make sure this cannot happen again.”

The 2020 election has been of great contention in the state of Arizona. Many people felt that the election had a lot of issues. The state even conducted a forensic audit of the 2020 election.
One thing is for sure people feel strongly about our election and it seems that trust in the election system is very much lacking. Incidents like the one on Thursday seem to only further people’s concern about fair elections.

Oh, of course, a mistake. Sure. Better wait until election day to post the scams.
