The 2020 “smoking-gun email” New York Post story that was part of the #TwitterFiles reveal yesterday has received fresh viral tailwinds after being put back in the spotlight.
In the reveal, a link to the story was the first part of the thread to be shared by journalist Matt Taibbi after he announced, “The Twitter Files, Part One: How and Why Twitter Blocked the Hunter Biden Laptop Story.”
Taibbi explained, “On October 14, 2020, the New York Post published BIDEN SECRET EMAILS, an expose based on the contents of Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop”

The Columbia Bugle shared the story in a separate Twitter thread and said, “In light of recent revelations regarding Big Tech’s collusion with Dems and the Deep State to discredit the TRUE Hunter Biden Laptop Story, it’s worth rereading the original blockbuster New York Post exclusive.”
“Notice, too, how little Hunter Biden’s more salacious moral failings appear in the article. This laptop story wasn’t censored because of naked pictures. It was censored because it contained smoking gun emails tying Joe Biden to his family’s America Last pay-to-play schemes.”
“‘The blockbuster correspondence — which flies in the face of Joe Biden’s claim that he’s ‘never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings’ — is contained in a massive trove of data recovered from a laptop computer.’ That’s why Twitter censored the laptop story.”

The story reports that then-Vice President Joe Biden was introduced by his son Hunter Biden to a top executive at a Ukrainian energy firm less than a year before Joe Biden pressured government officials in Ukraine into firing a prosecutor who was investigating the company.
It was also noted that in 2018, Biden admitted to threatening to withhold a $1 billion US loan guarantee during a December 2015 trip to Kiev in order to have Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin fired.
Biden bragged to the Council on Foreign Relations, “I looked at them and said: I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.”
“Well, son of a bitch. He got fired,” Biden emphasized.
