Donald Trump Jr. has made a shocking statement in regard to Jack Dorsey’s Twitter and how he thinks things should be handled going forward. Not as shocking of course, as a tweet by Kathy Griffin though, which is the one he is referencing in this particular statement. Kathy Griffin has recently tweeted out that she thinks President Trump should be injected with a syringe full of air.
This is a thinly veiled message of course, which basically says she wishes the president was dead. Many on Conservative Twitter called for Griffin to be banned for this tweet, and called it a threat. It’s clear to most people by now, that it is likely Trump Jr.’s father, President Donald Trump would have been banned or censored to some degree on the social media platform if it were not for the fact that he is indeed President of the United States.
Regardless, Twitter did indeed ‘fact check’ at least two of his tweets yesterday, clarifying information about mail-in voting they believed to be ‘misleading’. This is what takes us back to Trump Jr.’s statement.
Conservatives have all but begged Jack Dorsey to stop banning them on Twitter. Regardless, their calls have fallen largely on deaf ears. A recent update to Twitter’s terms actually has the language that Twitter can ban anyone for any reason.
This basically means you can follow the rules and it doesn’t even matter if they don’t like you. Despite all this, President Trump hasn’t done a lot yet to try to get social media companies to be fairer. In the tweet, his son is basically saying that he doesn’t even think Griffin should be banned for her shocking comments if only conservatives would also stop getting banned.
This, of course, won’t fly by he may be making a broader point. Donald Trump Jr.’s tweet reads:
“I don’t think past their prime comedians who tweet stupid things should be banned on here, but next time @twitter @jack bans a conservative for saying something, not PC, just remember they have no problem with Dems making death threats against @realDonaldTrump on their platform.” This was in response to Griffin’s tweet which shockingly reads: “Syringe with nothing but air inside it would do the trick. FUCK TRUMP”. Her tweet was a response to President Trump’s comments about whether or not he should be using insulin at a press briefing which was reported by CNN’s Jim Acosta. See the exchange:

President Trump claims he will not allow the censorship of conservative to continue. We will see what happens next.
….happen again. Just like we can’t let large scale Mail-In Ballots take root in our Country. It would be a free for all on cheating, forgery and the theft of Ballots. Whoever cheated the most would win. Likewise, Social Media. Clean up your act, NOW!!!!
