OPINION: We have reported previously about a radical left-wing Mayor who some say fooled the citizens into electing her as a moderate to a non-partisan position. She has posted a transition team report that she now refuses to take responsibility for and says it was from community input pushing radical anti-white, pro-abortion, and K-12 sex-ed ideas.
The mayor took part in a BLM vigil with thousands and thousands of people at the height of the BLM-Antifa riots around the country. While that particular vigil remained peaceful for the most part, there has been some left-wing vandalism at other BLM events and around the city in the recent past associated with the cultural left-wing shift happening since the death of George Floyd.
Although Boise is a left-leaning city, there are many Republicans and moderate Democrats there too, and they feel like they have lost their voice, which has been shown by an effort to recall Mayor Lauren McLean that has picked up lots of steam. The Idaho Freedom foundation posted a short clip of an interview Mayor McLean did recently with a local news channel.
The question of socialism came up. Although many conservatives say socialism is a radical idea, many locals have actually stepped it up a notch and called the mayor a communist. She’s likely not to admit to that. Socialism often means that there is some form of government payments going to people who did not necessarily earn it.
Too much socialism is a drag on those who work hard, but some social programs are necessary as many would agree, such as disability and food stamps for those who truly are starving. But socialism, as pushed by the left these days, might be considered veiled communism, which is a radical government takeover of people’s freedoms.
When this is done in lockstep with anti-white lingo and anti-conservative ideas, people get alarmed. The mayor in this video is asked by the local reporter is a softball piece if she is a “socialist” and she doesn’t actually answer.
She goes on to say the government does some good things but fails to mention the radical mob which has pushed government and corporations that lobby the government into having radical ideas, the likes of which our country has never seen before, such as removal of historical monuments, mask laws with exemptions for a race, and left-wing ideas being taught in many publicly funded schools around the nation. Check out the video below:
Boise may be left-leaning, but the state of Idaho is not, as has been shown with viral videos and images circulating around the internet of back-the-blue rallies, Trump rallies and flag waves. The mayor of Boise may just be a local mayor, but she is a mayor of the capitol city, which affects the entire state. That means the entire state has a vested interest in what’s happening and they should participate in the process and let their voices be heard if they don’t want another Portland, Oregon smack in the middle of one of the reddest states in the union.
