Chris Hayes, Angry that More Republicans Didn’t Vote for Impeachment, Says ‘I Think if the Mob Had Actually Managed to Beat Mike Pence Bloody We’d be in the Same Place’

Recently U.S. Senator Rand Paul forced a vote on whether or not the second impeachment of former President Donald Trump should be able to continue. Although 5 Republicans appear to have sided with Democrats, causing a 55-45 vote, this signals there may not be enough to convict President Trump of the impeachment charges in the Senate. The vote was ultimately sidelined based on the votes for and against Paul’s measure.

What that ultimately boils down to is that President Trump may be able to maintain his viability politically, and possibly run for president again in 2024. We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves though, and can’t say for sure what will happen.

Liberals are furious that more Republicans aren’t turning on Trump. We posted a screenshot of the outrageous tweet below by MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, just in case he comes to his senses and decides to delete it later.

“I think if the mob had actually managed to beat Mike Pence bloody we’d be in the same place,” Hayes responded to Tim Miller who had initially tweeted:

“If a congressman had died instead of a cop do you think there would’ve been 6 Republican senators to support an impeachment trial or nah?”

See tweet screenshot below:

Basically what Hayes is saying in our view is that he believes it is a consensus that President Donald Trump incited a riot. That being the case, no matter how much damage or violence was caused he should be held responsible is what he is implying.

Many people aren’t arguing based on the merits of how bad things were on the U.S. Capitol on January 6th though, but rather arguing that there isn’t really enough evidence to prove President Trump actually incited it. This is in our opinion and we want to be clear we don’t ever condone inciteful rhetoric or anything other than peaceful protest.

Although Donald Trump’s rhetoric following that day’s events was enough to get him suspended from social media, most reasonable Republicans would agree that he never thought people would storm the Capitol, and certainly was never rooting for that, or violence to happen.

Earlier we reported on Rand Paul’s actions in part:

U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) is slamming Democrat’s push to impeach former President Trump a second time. Paul has previously stated that without Supreme Court Justice John Roberts presiding over the impeachment that is not legitimate in his eyes anyway.

Paul also believes that the unity Democrats claim to seek will not be found by demonizing Donald Trump considering his immense popularity that he continues to enjoy.

“Democrats claim to want to unify the country, but trying a former president, a private citizen, on impeachment charges is the antithesis of unity.”

“In a few minutes, I will insist on a vote to affirm that this proceeding we are about to enter is unconstitutional. That impeachment of a private citizen is illegal, and essentially a bill of attainder, and that no sense of fairness or due process would allow the judge in a proceeding to be a partisan Democrat already in favor of the impeachment. A sham, this is.”…

Breaking 911 also posted another clip of Paul, captioning it with:

“RAND PAUL: “Unity is the opposite of this travesty we are about to witness … It’s almost as if they have no ability to exist except in opposition to Donald Trump.”

Basically, the left needs to have a good-faith argument on this subject instead of pushing rage-inducing ‘what ifs’ that don’t help the country unite in any way. Stay tuned for more updates as we are able to bring them.
