Earlier we reported that Fox News decided Lou Dobbs would no longer be having a show on Fox Business. This comes after Fox News ratings have spiraled downward. There has also been pressure of Fox after a Smartmatic lawsuit involving Dobbs and others shook things up as well.
Fox News hasn’t said exactly why they’re ending the show yet, but clearly, they’re afraid of pressure from the left. Dobbs has had a great run and has always been classy, and a major supporter of former President Donald Trump’s.
Since Donald Trump has been largely banned from social media, he has been relatively quiet, issuing occasional statements through his office of the former president, or various other means on occasion, but mostly relaxing at his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida lately.
After the news of Dobbs cancelation though, former President Trump made it a point to let the world know how he felt about Dobbs, and Dobbs clearly appreciates it as well. Amy Kremer tweeted out:
Statement from President Trump on @LouDobbs show being canceled… “Lou Dobbs is and was great. Nobody loves America more than Lou. He had a large and loyal following that will be watching closely for his next move, and that following includes me.”
Lou Dobbs replied:

It’s unclear what Dobb’s future holds but it’s clear that he never wavered in his support for the 45th President and that he truly loved his country, even if some disagreed with him on his opinions.

Fox News continues to show its true colors. First, they came for Bill O’Reilly, then Trish Regan, and now Lou Dobb’s days are numbered. Dobbs has been a tough America First pro-Trump host on Fox Business, often angering the more moderates with his views on things like immigration and other right-wing views.
Now it’s being reported that “Lou Dobbs Tonight,” is being canceled.
LA Times reported in part:
Dobbs’ program, which airs twice nightly at 5 and 7 p.m. Eastern on the Fox Business Network, will have its final airing Friday, according to a Fox News representative who confirmed the cancellation. Starting next week, the program will be called “Fox Business Tonight,” with rotating substitute hosts Jackie DeAngelis and David Asman, who filled in for Dobbs on Friday.
This reportedly comes after Smartmatic filed a 2.7 billion dollar suit against Fox News, Lou Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo, and Judge Jeanine Pirro. It’s reported that Dobbs still has a contract with Fox but is not likely to come back on TV.
