Fox Business Suspends Trish Regan Amid ‘Controversy’ and Coronavirus, as well as Kennedy

The Washington Examiner has reported that Fox News has suspended Trish Regan and Kennedy for additional coverage time to cover the Coronavirus pandemic. This, while sad for the two reporters, seems reasonable enough. But at least for Regan, there appears to be more reason going in the background.

Trish received backlash for a Coronavirus rant where she appears to go off script in the video you can see below. “Hate being leveled at the president is nearing a crescendo, as Democrats blame him, and only him, for a virus that originated halfway around the world. This is yet another attempt to impeach the president” She starts off.

“This is a time to be united, but we see the absolute opposite from the left tonight” she continued. From Washington Examiner:

Trish Regan Primetime and Kennedy, the regularly scheduled 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. EDT shows, will not be on the air moving forward, and there is no current timetable for how long their shows will be suspended.

“Fox Business’s prime-time programs Trish Regan Primetime and Kennedy, which is hosted by Lisa Kennedy Montgomery, will both be on hiatus until further notice,” a network spokesperson said in a statement to the Washington Examiner on Friday evening. “Due to the demands of the evolving pandemic crisis coverage, we are deploying all resources from both shows for staffing needs during critical market hours. Fox Business will run long-form programming in prime time for the foreseeable future.”

It remains unclear what the replacement programming will be.

One can only speculate as to the real reasoning of what’s going on here while simultaneously, Americans are trying to figure out what is going on with the Coronavirus pandemic. The stock market has had trouble pricing in the costs to corporations as things happen in real-time, and President Trump does his best with the help of Vice President Mike Pence to plan for the worst. Travel bans have been put into place for China, Europe, and more recently the UK to help protect spread into the U.S.
