‘Five Guys’ Burgers and Fries Will ‘Contact’ Local Store in Regards to Complaint About Customer Art Stating ‘White and Proud’

A Twitter account simply named “hannah” tweeted out photos from what appears to be a Kalispell, Montana ‘Five Guys’ Burgers and Fries location. At Five Guys they have a board for customers to share their art and thank the local stores if they enjoyed their food. Hannah asked, “Hey @FiveGuys — what’s this doing on your board in Kalispell? How long has it been up?”

At this location, there were two papers that apparent customers wrote on that said “proud to be straight and White USA” and “I’m White and I’m Proud”. We know that things like this before have been considered hateful by many on the left and in some universities as well, and it’s tough to say what the intent of the artists was, but the person who posted the images on Twitter immediately assumed they were meant as potentially bigoted or “hatred”.

Five Guys on Twitter promptly responded, “Hi Hannah. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have contacted the store.”

Article Update 4:30 PM ET 7/13/2021: “hannah” appears to have since deleted her tweets, so we have posted screenshots of the interaction instead.

“Hannah” tweeted back:

“Thank you. I took them down for you this time, but you need to take steps to make sure this never happens again, and so that people don’t feel like they can express this hatred here.” Hannah didn’t go on to say who the hate was against in her opinion exactly.

Some were obviously offended by the art. Others on Twitter took offense that Five Guys responded the way they did.

We will leave it to you the reader to determine what you think of this situation. Stay tuned for updates.

    Are you still in business?
I found a few errors on your site.
Would you like me to send over a screenshot of those errors?
