Hillary Clinton tweeted on Halloween of 2016 that “computer scientists have apparently uncovered a covert server linking the Trump Organization to a Russian-based bank.” This was around the time Marc Elias met with Christopher Steele.
Elias was the general counsel for the failed presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton. Michael Sussmann, who worked for Perkins Coie, the Clinton legal firm, is the man who John Durham is seeking to indict. This is in regards to the debunked Steele dossier that the Clinton campaign tried to use against the Trump campaign.
Elias was the former head of Perkins Coie. Robby Mook was Clinton’s campaign manager and allegedly authorized Elias to dig up dirt on Trump’s Russia connections in 2016. Sussman is allegedly the source for 2016 stories in the news about alleged secretive server claims.
Washington Examiner reported in part:
Special counsel John Durham reportedly seeks a grand jury indictment against Michael Sussmann, a cybersecurity lawyer at a Democratic-allied law firm closely linked to British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s discredited dossier.
The charge is said to be related to an alleged false statement to the FBI about a client’s identity when Sussmann pushed now-debunked claims about secret communications between Russia’s Alfa Bank and the Trump Organization in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election.
Durham “has told the Justice Department that he will ask a grand jury to indict a prominent cybersecurity lawyer on a charge of making a false statement to the FBI,” the New York Times reported on Wednesday, citing “people familiar with the matter.”
“NEW: John Durham is reportedly seeking an indictment against Michael Sussmann of Perkins Coie over the lawyer allegedly misrepresenting who his client was to the FBI when pushing false claims about secret Trump-Russia server communications.”

It is said that Sussman must be arrested by this weekend or the statute of limitations may be up. It is hard to say what may happen next or if others can be implicated. It’s also a wonder that Durham waiting until the last minute. Is this sloppy leadership or part of some other strategy?
