Tomorrow, the results of the 2020 election audit of Maricopa County, Arizona will be released on the Senate floor.
GOP State Sen Wendy Rogers has been counting down and renewed her call for Maricopa County to be split up today in a tweet.
“Time to split up Maricopa County because that many votes are too important to put in the hands of bumbling bloviating nincompoops like @stephen_richer and @Adrian_Fontes,” Rogers declared.

In a subsequent tweet, Rogers added, “Smaller precincts. Smaller counties. More state reps and senators so they listen to their constituents more.”

In June, we reported:
Arizona’s GOP Chairwoman Kelli Ward asked in a tweet whether or not Maricopa County, which is the 4th most populous county in the U.S., should be broken down.
Arizona GOP State Senator Wendy Rogers quote tweeted Ward and declared, “1,000 times yes. I will propose this bill unless someone else beats me to it.”
Rogers acknowledged, however, that she “Will probably have to order a study first to see how we would do it.”
In Ward’s tweet, she asked, “Do you think #Maricopa County is too large and should be broken down into several smaller counties?”
Ward added that “For reference, #AZ only has 15 counties – Maricopa has ~4,300,000 while Mohave has ~207,000 & Santa Cruz has ~9,500).”
Ward also shared a link which provided the population of every county in the state, which shows that the county is nearly three times larger than the next closest county, Pima, and larger than the rest of the population of the state combined by over 1 million.
Maricopa County recorder Stephen Richer, who calls himself a Republican, recently wrote a piece for CNN criticizing the audit.
“If an auto repair shop failed you once, you wouldn’t react by taking your car repair to somebody who had never before worked on a car. Unfortunately, that’s essentially what has happened to elections in Arizona,” Richer insisted.

Adrian Fontes, the previous Democratic Maricopa County recorder who was defeated by a slim margin in 2020 by Richer, yesterday tweeted out his prediction of what will happen when the audit results are released tomorrow.
“In the next couple days, the AZ “audit” “report” will emerge. It will be incomplete, and they will claim they can’t finish b/c router (which have nothing to do with the election system.) And they’ll keep the grift alive. #ProtectDemocracy,” Fontes asserted.

Rogers has made it clear that her desired outcome following the results of the audit is decertification of the 2020 presidential election.
Decertification!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! https://t.co/QFZACGEJi1
