Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Jewel Among Celebs to Offer Joe Rogan Support In Response to Video Sharing His Thoughts on Spotify Controversy

We reported yesterday that podcaster Joe Rogan released a video sharing his thoughts on the Spotify controversy where he said he had no hard feelings towards Neil Young or Joni Mitchell despite their attempts to cancel him.

In response to the video, WWE superstar and actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and singer Jewel were among celebrities to offer him support in response.

Johnson replied to Rogan’s video on Instagram, “Great stuff brother. Perfectly articulated. Look forward to coming on one day and breaking out the tequila with you.”

Jewel told Rogan in response, “(You’re) doing a great job. Keep it up” along with the clapping hands emoji.

Rogan began the video by announcing, “Thank you to everyone that sent love and support, I truly, truly appreciate it and it’s been nice to hear from you.”

In the nearly ten-minute video, Rogan pushed back on those who claimed that he was spreading “misinformation.”

“Whenever I get something wrong, I try to correct it, because I’m interested in telling the truth, I’m interested in finding out what the truth is,” Rogan insisted.

Rogan then stressed that he has had various different experts regarding COVID to find out “how people come to these conclusions.”

In regards to Neil Young and Joni Mitchell removing their music from Spotify, Rogan explained, “I’m very sorry that they feel that way. I’m a Neil Young fan, I’ve always been a Neil Young fan” adding that he had a Young story that he would provide later in the video.

Rogan then conceded that he would allow for Spotify to place a label on any controversial podcasts and that

“They’re just conversations,” Rogan said of what he does.

Rogan also thanked and apologized to Spotify and said “I’m very sorry this is happening to them.”

“I’m not mad at Neil Young,” Rogan asserted before giving the promised story and added that he has “no hard feelings” for Young or Mitchell.
