In typical Democrat fashion, the ruling party cries victim yet again. This time it’s the band “Rage Against the Machine”. Even with a Democrat majority voting base thanks to California and New York, A Democrat president, House, and Senate, CNN recently posted an article gushing about the band being “against authority”.
This comes despite Rage’s being pro-Democrat, quite literally supporting the authority in most terms. In the 1990s, alternative rock, punk, and grunge bands were mostly seen as apolitical, and simply bands that played music that expressed how their fan base felt in many ways.
As time passed, however, many of these bands shifted leftward to stay in good graces with the record labels, radio stations, music apps, and other money-making apparatuses. This is our speculative view. It’s quite possible that all these rock bands have always been staunch Democrats, but it seems more likely that it’s maybe half and half, plus the money issue.
Kid Rock has gone on record saying he doesn’t care what other people think about his support for former and possible future President Donald Trump, for example. However, Mr. Rock said many of his peers are afraid to express any conservative views for fear of being canceled. With this particular story, we are by no means implying that Rage Against the Machine is secretly conservative.
More so, we are painting a broader picture of our perspective of the industry. But back to Rage. The band recently did their first concert in 11 years. They spoke out dangerously on the angst many leftists have towards the conservative members of the U.S. Supreme Court. CNN gushed over the band reporting first in part:
Members of the band, which has long been known for its anti-authority stance and its music’s political messages, didn’t give impassioned speeches on the first stop of their reunion tour – singer Zack de la Rocha and his crew simply rocked while a giant screen behind them did the talking.
They then went on to report on the dangerous rhetoric:
The final message was brief but clear: “ABORT THE SUPREME COURT.” Many audience members erupted into cheers.

Some other rockers have gone the other way lately, but it’s still a minority of them:
Some bands have even been split:
In the end, free speech is something we believe in, no matter which side. However, calling for dangerous rhetoric in regards to the U.S. Supreme Court should be condemned.
