Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi has pled guilty and received a sentence of 5 days in jail and three years probation for a DUI charge in Napa County, California.
Napa County Superior Court Judge Joseph Solga said that Paul already served two days in jail and received conduct credit for two other days.
Solga said during Paul’s sentencing, which he did not attend, that he will not have to report back to jail as he will work eight hours in the court’s work program in lieu of the remaining day.
As part of his probation for the misdemeanor offense, Paul will also be required to attend a three-month drinking driver class, and install an ignition interlock device, where the driver has to provide a breath sample before the engine will start.
Solga also said that Paul will also have to pay nearly $7,000 in fines.
Act for America’s Brigitte Gabriel decried what she deemed to be a light punishment, given the circumstances which included a car accident.
“Paul Pelosi could have killed someone. Anyone else would be facing the possibility of jailtime,” Gabriel declared.
