While some celebrities might appear on a show like “Dancing With the Stars” or the “Masked Singer,” the Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean has ratcheted up the ante.
The now-married millennial heartthrob revealed in the latest episode that he has been transforming into a drag character for RuPaul’s show “Drag Race.”
McLean shared a clip of the reveal in a tweet where he declared, “The secrets finally out, ha!”
“Thank you so much to @RuPaulsDragRace for letting me be my most glamorous self, I had the time of my life being Poppy Love!! #CelebDragRace,” McLean gushed.

In one performance, McLean can be seen wearing a bondage outfit and dancing with others in similar outfits.
The reveal came on the sixth episode of the show, which premiered on Friday as the top five remaining “queens” revealed their true identities before one of them was sent home.
McLean was not sent home and so that means that he still has a shot at the crown and a chance to win $100,000 for a charity of his choice.
In a solo interview that aired on the show, McLean said that “It is an honor to be here. I’m going to do whatever it takes to win that crown. I want this.”
