According to The Washington Post, documents and other evidence regarding Hunter Biden related to taxes crimes and making a false statement when purchasing a gun have been turned over to a Delaware U.S. Attorney.
The FBI and the IRS investigators gathered the information that according to WP source is enough to charge the president’s son.
Attorney for Hunter Biden, Chris Clark, was critical of someone leaking the information of possible charges and gave a statement to CBS News. He called it a felony and said, ”the Department of Justice will diligently investigate and prosecute.”
“As is proper and legally required, we believe the prosecutors in this case are diligently and thoroughly weighing not just evidence provided by agents, but also all the other witnesses in this case, including witnesses for the defense. That is the job of the prosecutors,” Clark added.
Biden’s team believes the leak was done to spur prosecutors to act on the evidence. The U.S. attorney’s office in Delaware has had Hunter Biden under investigation since 2019.
Yet no charges have been brought and the U.S. attorney’s office has been very quiet about any actions they may or may not take.
