Host of CBS’ “The Late Late Show” James Corden has been banned from a New York City restaurant over alleged verbal abuse of staff.
Restauranter Keith McNally, who owns several establishments in the city, described multiple visits to the restaurant Balthazar, where Corden allegedly was verbally abusive towards the staff.
McNally explained in an Instagram post that “James Corden is a Hugely gifted comedian, but a tiny Cretin of a man. And the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago.”
“I don’t often 86 a customer, to today I 86’d Corden. It did not make me laugh,” McNally insisted before going into detail about Corden’s escapades while also adding that the comedian had “behaviored similarly in my former restaurant, Cafe Luxembourg, a few years back.”
Corden is among a handful of anti-Trump late-show hosts, who still try to profit from mocking the former president.
In May, Corden called Trump a “scam account” and joked that “banning Trump is like the one good thing Twitter has done in like a decade.”
McNally received a lot of support in response to his post, including one Instagram user who sarcastically expressed doubt about the story.
“Come on Keith, you know this isn’t true. James Corden is NOT a ‘hugely gifted’ comedian,” they told him.
Another Instagram user pointed out, “One can tell the true character of a person based on how they treat their server.”
On Twitter, many users expressed their outrage at the story including multiple verified Twitter users. Author Saeed Jones said, “As a longtime and PASSIONATE James Corden hater, this is very satisfying. He’s the worst, I’m telling ya! THEE worst! Do I have personal evidence of this? No. Am I right? YES.”
