“Yellowstone” star Kevin Costner has scored the series its first Golden Globe nomination for his role as John Dutton.
Costner landed the nomination for Best Actor in a TV Series – Drama category. It is his first nomination since he took home an award in 2013.

Costner won the award in 2013 for Best Performance by an Actor in a Miniseries or Motion Picture for Television for his role in “Hatfields & McCoys.”
Previously, Costner won the award for Best Director – Motion Picture for “Dances With Wolves” in 1991.
Costner also had three other nominations, another one for “Dances With Wolves” for Best Performance By an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama, in 1992 for Best Performance By an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for “JFK,” and in 1997 for Best Performance By an Actor in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical for “Tin Cup.”
In a tweet, Costner shared a picture of his character and said, “Thank you to the@goldenglobes for the nomination.”
“And to the@Yellowstone team, who continue to make John Dutton a character that keeps us all on our toes,” Costner added.

According to a release from the Paramount Network, the season five premiere of “Yellowstone” last month put up massive ratings, averaging 16 million viewers in the L3 ratings from Nielsen.
The show’s creator Taylor Sheridan denied that the show is “non-woke” but as Outkick pointed out, nobody talks about pronouns or how to properly address people in the show.
