It was reported recently that Elon Musk has stopped paying rent on Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters, which would seem to be him taking a page out of the far-left’s playbook.
In August 2021, Far-left U.S. House Reps Cori Bush (D-MO), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) slept on the Capitol steps to protest the end of the federal moratorium on evictions.
While the Supreme Court ultimately ended the moratorium, it seems clear that the far-left supports rent-free measures.
Musk hasn’t paid rent on Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters or any other satellite office around the world since he took over the company in October, according to the report.
In addition, Musk’s executive team has reportedly approved of auctioning off non-essential items from the San Francisco office.
Luxury items to be auctioned off include a $20,000 espresso machine, $17,000 braising pan, and a $10,000 vegetable dryer.
Ice machines, refrigerators, pizza ovens, projectors, Mac desktop computers, office whiteboards, and several desks are among other items listed.
Bidding for the luxury items from Twitter’s headquarters will open at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. Pacific on Jan. 17 and the 27-hour bidding cycle will then conclude at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. Pacific on Jan. 18, according to the Daily Mail.
It would seem likely then that Musk intends to move the headquarters to a different location and U.S. House Rep. Carlos Giménez (R-FL) urged Musk to relocate to Miami in a letter sent at the beginning of the week.
That comes after Miami’s GOP Mayor Francis Suarez recently invited Musk to move Twitter’s headquarters to the South Florida city.

I wish Mr Musk would move TWITTWER to Hardy Arkansas, we need the jobs and being here would be a lot cheaper than California or Florida!
Hardy… a nice place… I’d be worried about the caliber of the folks who’d tag along… I grew up poor in Ark, by the world’s standards, but even tho’ I’m very comfortable now, I never felt richer than when I lived at the foot of Crow mountain…
Excellent way to finish off weeding out the woke leftists in the organization. They won’t leave their utopian paradise in SF. Crime and all. No biggie.
Miami would be an awesome choice. Build a hurricane proof headquarters and hire objective developers and operators, not subjective ones. Only hire what you actually need. Fully vet each person hired. Allow no government spies.
Remove all wokeness programs and procedures. Remove all bias. Sever the FBI link. Remove any government control over Twitter policy.
