Greta Thunberg Spreads Pizza Box Disinformation as Left Leaning Fact Checker Debunks info in her Tweet

Andrew Tate, his brother, and two others were arrested in Romania Thursday morning. According to The Daily Mail they are all facing charges of human trafficking, rape as well as being part of an organized crime group.

Greta Thunberg tweeted “this is what happens when you don’t recycle your pizza boxes” at the news of Tates arrest. This sparked speculation that officials were tipped off to Tate’s location from a pizza box seen in a video he recently made about the climate change activist.

This has been proven to be false. DIICOT, Romania’s agency that targets organized crimes told the Associated Press that was not the case.

“Funny, but no,” DIICOT spokesperson Ramona Bolla told the Associated Press.

On Tuesday Tate tweeted at Thunberg, “Hello @GretaThunberg I have 33 cars. My Bugatti has a w16 8.0L quad turbo. My TWO Ferrari 812 competizione have 6.5L v12s. This is just the start. Please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and their respective enormous emissions.”

Thunberg replied, “yes, please do enlighten me. email me at smalldickenergy@getalife.com”.

With that Tate posted a video in response to Thunberg showing him with two pizza boxes he shared would not be recycled.

With Thunberg’s pizza box tweet, speculation grew that the boxes in the video gave away Tate’s location. This turned out to be false and only spread disinformation. Tate was found due to a long probe being conducted by DIICOT.

Gândul a Romanian news outlet seems to be the origination of the disinformation, citing anonymous sources accrediting the pizza boxes to Tate’s arrest.

The arrest came after a nine-month investigation, they spent 12 hours searching the property.

Tate tweeted the day after the arrest, “The Matrix sent their agents.”

It seems that Tate may already be released. We will see what comes next with this situation.
