After Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was elected as Speaker of the House, the new Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) was given the opportunity to make a speech.
The speech dragged on for nearly 15 minutes and some questioned whether or not it was appropriate for it to be such a drawn-out affair.
Ultimately, Jeffries was there to hand over the gavel to McCarthy and it is customary for the Minority Leader to give a speech.
Jeffries shared a clip of the speech in a tweet and said, “House Dems are ready to get to work. Defend the progress that has been made. And continue to deliver for the people.”
Miller responded in a quote tweet where he called it, “A classless speech.”

As Fox News reported, Jeffries gave an A through Z rundown of what Democrats support in contrast to what the left accuses Republicans of standing for.
House Republicans intermittently interrupted by jeering and booing at the most partisan lines in his speech and some called on him to hurry up.
After receiving the Speaker gavel from Jeffries, McCarthy said in his speech, “I hope one thing is clear after this week: I will never give up.”
“I will never give up for you, the American people. And I will never give up on keeping our commitment to America,” McCarthy added.

Wow, just wow to say that when he and his communist pals have only done one thing which is to try and destroy our country to make way for communism, tyranny and oppression. We only need to look to what’s happening in Canada or W.Europe to see the kind of “progress” this imbecile wants.
