It was speculated prior to the Buffalo Bills home playoff game today versus the Miami Dolphins that injured safety Damar Hamlin would attend or perhaps even lead the team on the field.
Instead, prior to the game, Hamlin tweeted that he wouldn’t be attending, but would offer support from home as he focuses on his recovery.
In the tweet, Hamlin also shared a video of himself tossing his gloves to fans at the end of a game prior to his injury.
“My heart is with my guys as they compete today! Supporting from home as I focus on my recovery. Nothing I want more than to be out there with them! LFG #BillsMafia,” Hamlin declared in the tweet.

As we reported yesterday, Bills QB Josh Allen recently described safety Damar Hamlinâs recovery as contributing to a âspiritual awakeningâ for him.
Allen was seen covering his face with his hands on the sideline after Hamlin collapsed during the Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
On the âKyle Brandtâs Basementâ podcast, Allen said of the positive updates that came in the days since, âIt was kind of a spiritual awakening, really, for me.â
âI know for a lot of other people that maybe didnât have the strongest belief, or wasnât the biggest [or] strongest Christian followers,â Allen added.
Hamlin returned to the teamâs facility yesterday and was seen in a picture on Bills linebacker Matt Milanoâs Instagram story smiling with teammates.
The Bills also honored Hamlin with a series of tributes at the game last Sunday, wearing number â3â hats and patches.
