Today on “The View” the hosts discussed Joe Biden’s disastrous document scandal. With new revelations of documents being found seemingly all over Biden’s home in Deleware, it seems Joy Behar now finds Biden’s words about former President Donald Trump hypocritical.
Whoopie Goldberg opens the segment with a video of Democrats who have discussed the scandal on air over the weekend.
Goldberg asks if the special counsel is enough to satisfy people or does Biden need to do more. Behar jumps in, “I think that Biden should speak more.”
Behar adds, “I love Joe Biden and I know there is a difference between what he did and what Trump did, a lot of people don’t won’t ever know it, the way it’s covered.”
“It would have been helpful for Joe Biden if first came out to say. We have tape of Joe Biden saying Trump did something stupid and should have and it was bad. Well, he should have said, ‘well look, I know I look hypocritical on tape, yeah sorry about that. I didn’t even know about this, and now that I know about it I will do what I have to, to uncover this,’ Behar says in her advice to the president.
“He should be speaking to the American people, or else just act like a Republican, say it’s a ‘witch hunt’ and let’s fire Merrick Garland.”

Behar is clearly flustered with how this is being handled by Biden and the White House. No real answers have been put forth by the White House or from Biden himself. When he does say anything about the documents it only seems to raise more concerns and questions.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre continues to avoid most questions and obfuscate, and has been mostly directing journalists to the White House Counsel.
Last week, Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Trump appointee Robert Hur as special counsel to look into the documents. Hur will have to determine how they got there as well as who has had access to the documents.
House Republicans have announced they will be doing their own investigation as well. Read more:
