Attorney Sidney Powell today thanked Elon Musk in a tweet after her Twitter account was finally restored after over two years.
Powell’s account was banned in what the company described as a QAnon purge at the time in a statement to NBC News.
A Twitter spokesman said at the time, “The accounts have been suspended in line with our policy on Coordinated Harmful Activity.”
General Michael Flynn was also banned along with other high-profile supporters of then-President Donald Trump.
“We’ve been clear that we will take strong enforcement action on behavior that has the potential to lead to offline harm, and given the renewed potential for violence surrounding this type of behavior in the coming days, we will permanently suspend accounts that are solely dedicated to sharing QAnon content,” Twitter insisted at the time as well.
In her return tweet, Powell declared, “Thank you @elonmusk I’m back!!”
“Freedom of speech is crucial to our survival as the beacon of freedom for the world. I & a great team have been working hard in my absence from Twitter,” Powell explained as she shared a link to the website “Defending the Republic.”
Thank you @elonmusk

Powell was a part of the team of lawyers who argued that Trump’s election was stolen and she promised to deliver “The Kraken.”
Prior to her ban from Twitter, Dominion Voting Systems had filed a $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit against her which does not appear to be resolved.
