Earlier we reported about U.S. House Reps. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) making statements about the toxic and disastrous Ohio train derailment earlier this month. Crashes in South Carolina and Texas are now being reported.
Many on the internet are speculating and wondering why so many disasters are happening on such a short period of time. Many are also concerned about water pollution and air pollution, particularly from the Ohio derailment.
Citizen journalists have questioned why so called mainstream media isn’t reporting more on these tragedies.
Clips surfaced of United States Secretary of Transportation’s Pete Buttigieg speaking and not highlighting the crashes, but rather talking about diversity in the construction field. This has further outraged many conservatives.
“Pete Buttigieg fails to address the Ohio train crash, but manages to talk about how there are too many white people working on transportation projects”
U.S. House Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) tweeted furiously as political chatter shifted somewhat today from “Chinese spy balloons” to trains:
“Pete Buttigieg is nowhere to be found YET AGAIN as toxic chemicals are spewing out in East Palestine, Ohio after a train crash. While he’s worried about “racist highways”, our nation’s transit systems are falling apart.”
“Pete Buttigieg has finally emerged today. Not a single comment about the train crash in Ohio. Instead, he bemoaned the whiteness of the construction industry. It’s a miracle that this country is able to function at all under this regime.”
It’s hard to summarize the fluid ongoing situation, however we’ll stay tuned.
