Schiff, Nadler, and Jeffries Try to Paint Trump as Guilty Before Senate Trial Even Begins

If you prove an impeachment case in the House, you don’t need to re-try the case in the Senate. That is what Democrats appear to be trying to do today and moving forward anyway though, with House Speaker Pelosi going so far as to imply that regardless of what happens in the Senate, the House Impeachment has made their statement clear, in so many words.

The video below can be watched and the viewer can draw their own conclusions though, as to how they see the situation. President Trump, meanwhile, is preparing to sign a historic trade deal with China, moving forward doing business for the American people as usual.

In today’s presser with House Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) and the 7 Dems who were picked to manage the Trump impeachment Senate trial, the usual suspects appear to try and paint President Trump as guilty on live TV, even as Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) signals a likely acquittal of President Trump in the Senate.

Paul Sperry, whose Twitter handle describes him as “Former D.C. bureau chief for Investor’s Business Daily, Hoover Institution media fellow, author of several books, including bestseller INFILTRATION”, pointed this out as well today on Twitter right after the presser was over. In his tweet, he says, “BREAKING: Impeachment managers Schiff & Nadler went well beyond the language of the charges in the Articles @ this morn’s presser by alleging President Trump tried to “cheat” in 2020 & “rig the election,” and that he “broke the law” & committed “crimes” by suspending foreign aid”. Despite all this, there are only two official articles of impeachment, Obstruction of Congress, and Abuse of Power.

Neither one is actually implying that President Trump committed a provable crime. This could be the Democrat’s plan all along to try two sway public opinion against President Trump with the upcoming November elections imminent, or it could be a sign of desperation and the impeachment movement seem to be drawing to a close, a “last gasp” to try to throw something at the wall the might stick if you will. Some other memorable quotes today, which can all be seen in the video below, start with Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) who also chaired the House Intel Committee. He notates “urgency” despite Pelosi holding articles of impeachment for weeks before caving to pressure from Republicans AND Democrats to finally hand them over to the Senate.

Schiff: “We’ve always felt a certain urgency about this impeachment given that the president was trying to get foreign help in cheating in the next election, but as soon as we did take up and pass the articles, Mitch McConnell made it clear that he didn’t want a trial in the Senate. That he didn’t want to hear from witnesses, that he didn’t want documents, and this time has given us the ability to show the American people the necessity of a fair trial”. He goes on to mention bringing “new evidence” to light and continues with more that can be seen below.

When Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), the House Judiciary Committee Chair stepped up to the plate, he started out his speech: “Lemme lemme lemme, let me add to that! There is an overwhelming case beyond any reasonable doubt that the president betrayed the country by withholding Federal funds appropriated by Congress, breaking the law in doing so, in order to extort a foreign government into intervening in our election to embarrass, or to try to embarrass a potential political opponent of his.” He goes on to accuse President Trump of rigging the next and last election by conspiring with foreign governments, and continues on to add that “this is a test of the constitution”.

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), an avowed Trump hater, stepped up to the microphone next to sound off. “Well, the evidence is overwhelming that Donald Trump (notice he doesn’t say, President Trump) corruptly abused his power by pressuring a foreign government to target an American citizen for political and personal gain by withholding $391 million dollars in military aid to Ukraine without justification. There is a mountain of evidence in that regard” he fires off. The entire presser can be seen below:

House Rep Mark Meadows (R-NC) tweeted out his agreement with other of the apparent unfairness being pushed by the House Democrats. “Listen carefully to what Democrats are actually demanding when they talk about a “fair trial” he tweeted out in part. “They don’t want a fair trial. They don’t even really want a trial at all”. See the full tweet below:
