Like something out of a Star Wars movie, at the Democratic debate last night, Joe Biden asked Bernie Sanders to “join him” on a proposal to publicly fund elections. Sanders shot back, “I don’t want to join you, why don’t you join me,” while pointing out that Biden still has super PACs.

Sanders then asked Biden to “get rid of the super PACs that he has running against him. Biden then accused Sanders of having “9 super PACs.” Sanders asked him to “list them” and Biden responded, “give me a break.”

It is clear that these two candidates are not on the same page and will likely contend the election all the way to the convention so people should be prepared for more contentious exchanges in the future.
