Pelosi Takes To CNN to Accuse Trump of ‘Deadly Denial’, Demands ‘After-Action Review’

Nancy Pelosi took to CNN this morning saying that it is a, “very, very sad time for us.” Despite evidence in every country around the world that the Coronavirus is essentially impossible to handle, she went on the attack against President Trump saying that his “denial at the beginning was deadly” and that there should be an “after-action review”. She then claimed that, “As the President fiddles, people are dying.”

Indeed, a Reuters article from last Sunday, March 22nd, pointed out that the Republican led $1-trillion-plus U.S. Senate’s drive to pass the Coronavirus response bill remained stymied late on Sunday, as Democrats held out for more money, while Republicans urged quick action.

Earlier on Sunday, the Senate failed to get the necessary 60 votes in the 100-member chamber to get the Republican plan over a procedural hurdle after days of negotiations, with 47 senators voting in favor and 47 opposed with Democrats were united in their opposition.

Later on Sunday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, a Republican, announced he would hold a repeat vote early on Monday, only to be blocked by Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer.

On Monday afternoon, that same procedural vote failed again 49-46, as Democrats maintained their opposition to the proposed package. It took until Wednesday to pass with Senate after Pelosi came with her own proposals for the bill to finally pass. By the time it passed the house on Friday, it had ballooned to $2.2T.
