Actor Kevin Sorbo, best known for his role in the TV series Hercules ponders if those who claimed they were leaving America if Trump won the 2016 presidential election, are also applying the same “leaving” they claim to Twitter.
“Oh so you’re leaving twitter if Elon Musk buys it? Just like you left America after Trump won?”

Director Ken Olin is one of many people on Twitter professing they will leave the platform if Elon Musk takes over in his virtue signal.
“The day @elonmusk takes ownership of @Twitter I’m out. Not that that means much. But I just wanted to declare. G’night.”

This is the same rhetoric that was spewed by multiple celebrities as well as was commonplace with Democrats before the 2016 presidential election.
Musk is set to close on the Twitter deal in the next week if there are no hiccups. It has been reported that he may be letting go of 75% of the 7,500 employees at Twitter. This may be a mixed blessing for Twitter employees as many have shared their dismay over the prospect of Musk becoming their leader.
The Twitter deal’s ongoing saga has had its ups and downs, as it all started earlier this year with Musk acquiring a large amount of Twitter stock. He was also very much an outspoken critic of the platform at the same time.
At first, the Twitter board appeared to dislike the idea and acted like they wouldn’t accept the generous offer Musk made. They really had no choice but to accept it seems though, being that they are publicly traded and ultimately the board accepted the offer.
Musk then it seemed, got cold feet over the number of real users vs bots on the platform and made this a sticking point. He even attempted to get out of the deal. Musk and Twitter were headed to court when within weeks of the court date Musk decided the deal was back on.
With the deal set to close in the next week, we are still unsure if it is really going to happen and so are Twitter users as they speculate that if he does take over they will pack up their opinions and log off the site for good.
To some, this is all too familiar, as Sorbo pointed out, to the empty threats many people made right before the 2016 presidential election.
Chelsea Handler told us all, “I did buy a house in another country just in case, so all of these people that threaten to leave the country and then don’t; I will leave the country.”
She failed to uphold her welcomed threat. She made an excuse for why she decided not to move on an episode of her show “Chelsea” sharing, “It’s so easy to say throw in the towel and that we’re going to leave or I’m going to move to Spain, because I want to move to Spain.”
She added, “Everyone in my office is like ‘You have a responsibility, you have a voice and you need to use it, and you have to be here.”
Singer Cher proclaimed in June 2015 that she was going to Jupiter if Trump was elected. Maybe she couldn’t find a flight.
“IF HE WERE TO BE ELECTED, IM MOVING TO JUPITER”

The empty threats make them appear as if they are toddlers throwing temper tantrums. They are afraid of what the platform may look like after Musk takes over. Musk wants a free speech open ideas town square. This is not the way of the left in our view, as free speech is apparently not ok with many of them.
