Alec Baldwin Charges at New York Post Reporter With Umbrella, Then Refuses to Answer Questions About ‘Rust’ Fatal Shooting

Actor Alec Baldwin, who has a contentious history with reporters, lost his cool in a video clip that showed him charging at a New York Post reporter with an umbrella.

In the clip, Baldwin also refused to answer questions about the fatal shooting that occurred when a gun that he was holding fired and struck cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the movie “Rust.”

In a tweet, reporter Jon Levine shared the video clip and announced, “NEW … I ran into Alec Baldwin on the Upper East Side.”

Baldwin can be seen in the clip standing on someone’s doorstep while his wife Hilaria Baldwin records Levine recording his interaction with the pair.

Levine asks Alec, “What brings you to New York City?”

Alec doesn’t answer and Hilaria responds, “I asked you to leave.”

Undeterred, Levine presses on, “Mr. Baldwin, who’s here?”

“I asked you to go away, plese go away” Hilaria tells Levine, again responding for Alec.

At that point, Alec apparently gets fed up and in an instant, turns to face Levine and charges at him with his umbrella.

“You’re not allowed to photograph on someone’s private home,” Alec insists as Hilaria restrains him.

Levine notes that he is not on the property as Alec repeats himself and then turns back towards the door as it opens up.

The woman tells Levine to “go away” again, but Levine then asks Alec about comments he made during a recent interview with ABC’s George Stephanopolous regarding the fatal shooting but he declines to answer and heads inside along with Hilaria.

Newsweek had an interesting take on the incident and claimed that Levine “Harassed” Alec outside of the residence in a headline of an article regarding the video.
