Retired Sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, Joe Arpaio just received some tragic news. His wife Ava just passed away from complications after a heroic struggle with cancer. Ava Arpaio died at the age of 89, a fair age for most Americans to reach, although tragic nonetheless. Ava, probably the only thing that Sheriff Joe loved more than America herself, had been married to Joe for 63 long years.
State Senator (R-AZ) Wendy Rogers took to Twitter to issue her condolences to Joe when the news broke.
“Our deepest condolences to my dear friend @RealSheriffJoe at the passing of his beloved Ava. Everywhere we ever saw Ava, she was the epitome of calm, grace, and intelligence. She loyally and lovingly supported the sheriff and all of us Arizonans. She was his rock. We shall miss her terribly.” she said.

Sheriff Joe, who received a pardon from former President Trump after rogue Democrats went after him, arguably for his strong stance on illegal immigration at the Southern U.S. border, was a strong Republican and Trump supporter. He was constantly demonized during President Trump’s tenor although the Sheriff was loved among most if not all Trump supporters.
This tragic passing marks another good American lost in a time that we are struggling to find our way. Surely there will be a void left in the wake of this news among those who deeply cared about Ava. AZ Central reported:
Ava was diagnosed with cancer in 2016. Joe announced in 2018 that she was in complete remission.
“She’s been with me, always with me, beside me, when I’ve run for office eight times. So she’s with me now, we’re going to go forward,” Joe told The Arizona Republic after making the announcement on Facebook.
We can only hope that leftists don’t use this tragic loss as another reason to act beneath the dignity of Americans as they did when Rush Limbaugh recently passed. Journalist and Democrats rejoiced when that happened, sadly not shockingly as this has become the norm for left-wingers to celebrate deaths of prominent right wingers, and largely they get away with it. Today’s culture is somewhat twisted in this regard.
Nonetheless, we wish the best for Joe and the entire Arpaio family and hope that she was able to enjoy the end of her life with her family and without pain. AZ Central also reported:
Ava had cancer again that spread all over her body, Joe said Sunday. She was in the hospital for two weeks and at one point was on a ventilator, he said, although he confirmed she had not had COVID-19.
“The family and myself talked to her because I’m sure could listen, and she’s a devout catholic so I’m sure she was listening and I’m sure she will be in heaven,” Joe said.
Joe said he would be putting out a statement with more information on Monday.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement Sunday that it “sends heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of Ava Arpaio after she lost her battle with cancer earlier today. May she Rest In Peace. Our sincerest condolences to former Sheriff Joe Arpaio.”
