Ann Romney, wife of Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) who is also a failed presidential candidate has made it official. A day after reports of Mitt yet again trashing GOP hero and President Donald Trump, it is being reported that Ann is now officially helping Michelle Obama to ‘get out the vote’.
Ann is planning to join Michelle on ABC later this month. On September 14th, ABC is hosting a ‘vote or miss out’ special. Sadly for conservatives, Jay Leno and Tim Allen will be surprisingly participating as well. Although the report from The Hill doesn’t say that all participants are supporting Joe Biden, it doesn’t seem like Michelle Obama would do anything that could help President Trump in any way.
Ultimately it is up to the viewer to decide what he or she thinks. Earlier this week, Mitt said President Trump was inflaming racial tensions. The show is officially non-partisan but again, this is left-leaning ABC we’re talking about. The Hill reported about others who plan to participate:
Comedian Kevin Hart is set to host, with other participants including Tim Allen, Whitney Cummings, Tiffany Haddish, Jon Hamm, Jay Leno and Cristela Alonzo. Several of the Republican participants have openly criticized President Trump in the past, including Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Cindy McCain, the widow of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).
Although Romney, the 2012 GOP nominee, is not listed as a participant, the Utah senator has been one of the most vocal Republican Trump critics in the Senate. Romney was also the only GOP senator to vote to convict Trump during his impeachment trial earlier this year.
