AOC Casts Final Vote to Re-Elect Pelosi as Speaker of the House

“The Squad” member and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) cast the final vote needed to re-elect Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) as Speaker of the House.

Video shared by the Daily Caller shows her voting from the gallery with a mask on and the vote total ticks from 211 to 212.

AOC retweeted a picture earlier from newly-elected Congresswoman Cori Bush (MO) where Bush said “Squad up.”

The picture included the members of the original “squad” as well as Bush and newly-elected Congressman Jamaal Bowman (NY).

It appears that they are two new members to “The Squad” and AOC said of the picture, “Let’s go!”

Conservative YouTuber Anthony Brian Logan pointed out, “AOC says Chuck and Nancy need to go then votes for them just a few days later. Dog and pony show.”

Bloomberg reporter Erik Wasson quoted AOC as having said of the vote, “In a time when the Republican Party is attempting an electoral coup and trying to overturn the results of our election, this is not just about being united as a party. It’s about being united as people who have basic respect for the rule of law.”
