In a video here, country music star Brad Paisley is seen on MSNBC talking about the Covid-19 vaccination, and what he thinks about people who do or do not get it. “Country music has the ability to reach these people, and you are one of the stars,” says the MSNBC host. She is referring to getting country music influencers to tell their fans to get vaccinated, as many may be hesitant, in our view.
“What can we do in these world communities who are so resistant to the idea of protecting themselves and their families?”, continues the host. Brad Paisley begins to answer by saying essentially that he’s from a small town in West Virginia that is composed of a community of people who always band together to help each other, for example, if a house is on fire.
“All of my fans are being fed disinformation. And they’re being told that the water doesn’t put the fire out” says Paisley. He is referring to the vaccine for Covid-19. He continues, “when they realize it’s the patriotic thing when they realize it’s for the greater good I think they will do it”. He continued by saying that people need a “carrot on a stick” and incentives to get them to become vaccinated. He suggested giving tickets to vaccinated people and applauded states doing lotteries for vaccinated people.
We assume he’s talking about concert tickets. He likes that West Virginia Governor Jim Justice gave $100 to vaccinated people, but thinks “it’s a shame we have to, but whatever it takes”. The video continues on about variants that may be coming and the conversation continues.
Country star John Rich from Big and Rich, who won The Celebrity Apprentice under Donald Trump didn’t like Paisley’s take. He asked:
“Hey @BradPaisley So does getting/not getting the jab determine if I’m a Patriot or not? Please expand on this… Brad Paisley: ‘Patriotic Thing’ to Get Vaccinated”

We will leave it to the reader to decide how they feel about this story. John Rich feels he doesn’t want to be told what he has to do, Brad Paisley has a different approach.
John Rich has a history of speaking out. He has been against the mayor of Nashville, TN, for what he believes were lockdowns that were too strict. Fox News reported on that in part:
Country star John Rich took issue with Nashville, Tenn., Mayor John Cooper, a Democrat, on Thursday, after the local FOX affiliate discovered the politician’s office may have kept coronavirus data from the public because the figures were so low.
The Fox Nation host went on to call for the mayor to issue an apology and “resign by midnight tonight.”
According to WZTV, emails between Cooper’s senior adviser and the city’s health department revealed that there were a low number of cases emerging from bars and restaurants in the popular destination city.
