Atlanta Mass Shooting Apparently Not Race Related, Alleged Killer Had ‘Sexual Temptation’ Issue

Eight people were tragically killed yesterday at three Atlanta area massage parlors. Many tried to seize the news to speculate on what the motive may have been, rather than to reflect on the tragic loss off life. Some claimed it may have been a “false flag”.

Others claimed that the suspect Long was a gun enthusiast and possibly targeting people with “Anti-Asian” hate. He may well have been a gun enthusiast. Nevertheless, it’s being reported by Atlanta law enforcement the suspect has taken responsibility for the killings. The plot twist, however, at least according to reports, is that it is reportedly not racially motivated, but rather sexual.

The man supposedly had a sex addiction that was somehow linked to these massage parlors and wanted to “eliminate” the temptation. It’s tough to say how he thought this would be a good idea, which of course, it was not. We are saddened to see the tragic loss of life. Washington Examiner posted a clip that can be seen below captioned:

“Law enforcement: Suspect says Atlanta slayings were “not racially motivated.” “He apparently has an issue, what he considers a sex addiction… and it is a temptation for him that he wanted to eliminate.”

“Video footage from our Video Integration Center places the Cherokee County suspect’s vehicle in the area, around the time of our Piedmont Road shootings,” said the Atlanta Police Department in a news brief. “That, along with video evidence viewed by investigators, suggests it is extremely likely our suspect is the same as Cherokee County’s, who is in custody. Because of this, an investigator from APD is in Cherokee County and we are working closely with them to confirm with certainty our cases are related.”

It was reported that the shooting occurred in Cherokee County, and Long was apprehended in Crisp County. We are unsure if they have enough evidence to put the motive to rest or if there will be more investigations going on. It’s too soon to say if this shooting will be politicized for anti-gun sentiment while Democrats are currently pushing more gun control or not, but surely we will know soon enough.

Our hope is that tragic situations are respected for what they are and not politicized in such a way as to diminish constitutional rights. We will update this developing story as needed.
