During a rally yesterday in Nevada, former President Barack Obama urged Democrats to “fight” to “save Democracy” as he added that “tuning out is not an option.”
Democrats are in desperation mode in the state as polls show Republicans in a good position to flip the state red, which would also include a U.S. Senate seat.
In a clip shared by Breaking911, Obama began, “I’m here to tell you, Nevada, that tuning out is not an option.”
“Moping and feeling cynical is not an option. The only way to make this economy fair, is if we, all of us, fight for it. The only way to save Democracy is if we together, fight for it,” Obama declared.
The clip concluded with Obama telling the audience, “That starts with people who know you and see you and care about you and believe in you.”

According to the Reno Gazette-Journal, Obama also poked fun at himself as he promised to leave the singing to John Legend, who they described as a music star.
The Gazette-Journal also described Obama as the Democrat Party’s “most persuasive surrogate” who provided “star power” ahead of the midterm elections.
Obama “packed” the gymnasium of a local Las Vegas-area High School and claimed, “The reason I’m here is simple. I’m here to ask you to vote.”
Democrat U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto’s GOP opponent Adam Laxalt criticized Legend’s presence at the rally and called him an “anti-police activist.”
In June 2020, Legend published a series of tweets attempting to explain the defunding the police movement.
