Count West Virginia’s Republican Gov. Jim Justice as one who wasn’t impressed by a tweet that anti-Trump actress Bette Midler made last month.
Today at his “State of the state” address, Justice presented his dog “Babydog” and told Midler to kiss its butt.
As Justice presented the dog, he said, “They told every bad joke in the world about us. So from that standpoint, Babydog tells Bette Midler and all those out there, kiss her heinie.”
Omg.

Clearly triggered, Midler responded to the smackdown by Justice by once again trashing his state, although she tried to frame it in a better way.
After retweeting three liberals who weighed in on what Justice did, Midler shared a graph of statistics and said, “BTW, here are the state rankings of all the areas and agencies for which the so-called ‘Governor’ of WVA, #JimJustice, is responsible.”
“Judging from these rankings, I’d say his dog’s a** would make a better Governor than him!” Midler declared.
Democrat Twitter user “Shelly” responded to Midler, “Hate to see the people of WV belittled. They don’t deserve that from you. WV you are beautiful.”
“Bette- you sing, dance, act & made a good amount of money being ‘famous.’ Your fortunate I guess to have a luxurious life. But you’ve forgotten the most important part- to stay humble,” she lectured.

As we had previously reported, Midler had apologized for her previous tweet, which was levied after Manchin shot down the Build Back Better act.
