Following the report that President Trump and his wife Melania have tested positive for the Coronavirus, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and his wife Jill took a test after they both were on stage with the presidential couple on Tuesday.
“I’m happy to report that Jill and I have tested negative for COVID. Thank you to everyone for your messages of concern,” Biden said about the results.
He added, “I hope this serves as a reminder: wear a mask, keep social distance, and wash your hands.”

During the debate, Trump said he thought masks “are OK” and that he only wears one when he feels he needs it. “Tonight is an example. Everyone has had a test and you’ve had social distancing and all of the things that you have to,” Trump said at the time.
One response by a supporter to Biden’s tweet accused President Trump of “faking an illness” to get out of the next debate.
A user by the name of “Brown Eyed Susan” who has nearly 60k followers said, “Great, because you did such a bang up job in the debates that your opponent had to FAKE AN ILLNESS just to get out of having another one!”
