Biden Declares That if Republicans ‘Don’t Want to Help Save the Country,’ They Need to ‘Get Out of the Way’

While delivering remarks on the debt ceiling yesterday, President Joe Biden urged Republican senators to “get out of the way.”

Biden and the mainstream media blamed Republicans for the situation, ultimately.

In a tweet, Biden shared a clip of his speech and said, “My message to Republicans: If you don’t want to help save the country, get out of the way.”

In the clip, Biden claimed, “A meteor is headed to crash into our economy. Democrats are willing to do all the work stopping it.”

“Republicans just have to let us do our job. Just get out of the way. If you don’t want to help save the country, get out of the way so you don’t destroy it,” Biden added.

In response, many were critical of Biden’s words including Tim Young who shared a screenshot of a May 2020 Biden tweet where he said, “Now more than ever, we need a president who will choose to unite rather than divide.”

Young asked, “This you?”

The Blaze’s Elijah Schaffer tweeted in response, “Glad to see you trying to unite the country lmao!”

McConnell said Republicans had given the Democrats a roadmap for dealing with the debt ceiling with months of warning and at the Capitol he said, “I suggest that our Democratic colleagues get moving,”

Additionally, McConnell accused the president of picking the side of the progressives which has “tanked his own infrastructure bill.”
