U.S. Sen Lindsey Graham (R-SC) called last night for Vladimir Putin to be assassinated during an appearance on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show.
Graham asked, “Is there a Brutus in Russia? Is there a more successful Colonel Stauffenberg in the Russian military?”
“The only way this ends is for somebody in Russia to take this guy out. You would be doing your country – and the world – a great service,” Graham insisted.
Graham added, “The only people who can fix this are the Russian people. Easy to say, hard to do. Unless you want to live in darkness for the rest of your life, be isolated from the rest of the world in abject poverty, and live in darkness you need to step up to the plate.”

Many were shocked by the stance, as it could certainly enrage Putin to take action against the United States.
Jack Posobiec issued multiple tweets this morning in response to Graham:
“Daily reminder that chicken hawk Lindsey Graham told police to open fire on the Jan 6 protesters.”
“There’s no bigger chicken hawk than Lindsey Graham Nothing but big talk that the families of the American people should go and fight in endless wars that he will never lift a finger to fight himself Chicken Hawk Lindsey.”
“Neocons can order assassinations on Twitter but Trump can’t tweet It’s not hypocrisy, it’s hierarchy.”

Tim Young suggested in a response to Graham’s tweet where he repeated what he had said on Hannity, “Lindsey’s upset that his girlfriend, Sean Hannity called for this a day before him.”

Even some of those on the left felt it was a bridge too far, as one clearly left-leaning Twitter user told Graham in response to the tweet, “It’s okay to think this, but you can’t tweet it.”
“On the account of you being a U.S. Senator and everything,” they explained.
