Punch Bowl News reported and Fox News picked up a report that Terry McAuliffe may be getting a new cushy gig. This comes after McAuliffe, the former Governor of Virginia, absolutely blew an attempt to become Governor again this month.
McAuliffe lost to Republican Glenn Youngkin on November 2nd. Republicans also took back Virginia’s state house, Lieutenant Governorship, and the Attorney General’s spot. This dealt a major blow nationally to the Democrats, who also underperformed in recent New Jersey races as well, although Jack Murphy barely held on to his governorship there.
Despite losing in a shocking upset, McAuliffe may very well get a cushy gig with the Biden/Harris administration according to the report. Although time will tell if this happens, it wouldn’t be a surprise, as the Clinton’s are very close to Terry and have a lot of sway with the Democrat party still.
Bill and Hillary Clinton have had strong ties to Virginia Democrats for some time now. Hillary even picked U.S. Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) as her running mate for her failed presidential bid in 2016.
Although Demographic shifts in the United States continue to favor Democrats, the party itself has gone so far left, so fast, that they somehow manage to continue to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in many recent cases.
This comes despite Biden winning the 2020 election that many voters feel was affected by mail-in ballots which tend to favor Democrats. Read below for more:

The Biden administration may be helping McAuliffe stay active in politics because of the Clinton connection. But Terry was going more and more leftward and that is why many think he lost the election in Virginia. It could be speculated that bringing a far-left radical into the Biden/Harris regime may further hurt Democrat chances in upcoming elections in 2022 and 2024.
Meanwhile, there are some reports that many Democrat voters do not necessarily even want Joe Biden to run again in 2024. But that would certainly beg the question of “who?”. Kamala Harris has lower approval ratings than Joe Biden and someone more radical would probably not be a good idea for the Democrats either. Read more about Kamala’s poor ratings:
Perhaps they would choose someone like Pete Buttigieg, who checks off at least some of the “woke” boxes needed to be a Democrat front-runner nowadays, but nobody can know for sure until we get closer to those elections.
A lot will also hinge on U.S. House races in 2022, but as we mentioned earlier, the Democrats are headed for massive losses if they don’t get smart quick, somehow.
