The illegal immigrant who killed Mollie Tibbetts was found guilty of first-degree murder back in May as we reported previously. At the time, a sentence was not immediately handed down.
Yesterday, the sentence came in, and Cristhian Bahena Rivera, an illegal immigrant found guilty of the first-degree murder of University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts will serve life in prison with no eligibility for parole.
Although he was here illegally, and this crime should have never taken place, CNN tried to soften up the man’s image, by calling him a “farmworker” in their blurb in the tweet below:
“A farmworker has been sentenced to life in prison with no eligibility for parole for first-degree murder in the abduction and fatal stabbing of college student Mollie Tibbetts in July 2018.”

It’s good to see that justice has been done. We feel many may have been hoping for the death penalty for such a heinous crime. Nevertheless, at least the killer will never be set free.
It’s questionable, however, why CNN would try to repaint the man’s image into just a “farmworker”. Sometimes it seems that political correctness goes too far in our view.
Of course, under President Biden’s watch, many more illegal immigrants are flooding the border. We will continue to be told by left-leaning “authorities” that we should say undocumented rather than illegal, or omit the information altogether. Perhaps one day our nation will have borders and resemble something that has law, order, and cohesion.
